My personal opinion on Page 14: While I understand the author's criticism of society's obsession with self-improvement, I believe that constant improvement is necessary for personal growth and success. Learning, developing skills, and striving to become better are important parts of life. However, I agree that improvement should come from a desire to grow rather than from feeling inadequate or constantly comparing oneself to others.
Ironically, the Mark Manson's book is meant to improve people to some degree.
Fair point. I think the difference is that he's not against self-improvement itself he's against chasing it out of insecurity instead of genuine growth.
