In Business Growth can be multi dimensional its not in anyway linear but one thing is common across all dimensions: The Narrative. People's trust in your Business is some how proportional to its Growth, better yet to the rate of its growth.
The abvious difference between Small and Sessioned businesses is the level of Management involved. Entrepreneurship is management. Let me break down "Growth is Multidimensional" the first dimension is how big the Business is in terms of personnel, secondly how big is the business in monthly/annual revenue thirdly how well known is the business within the Market it operates.
All this are important depending on the goal and field of operation.
Small business's Growth is determined by the amount of work they deliver. Delivery is proportional to Growth here. The more they deliver the more cash flow they have also the more referrals they can get. This cuts really deep. Takes into account two major things. The more Money they get & the more referrals they get, and this is all due to Delivery if well done, this formula never goes wrong. I've seen a Small business transform from being small to operating in huge deals & industries because of their consistency in good Delivery which eventually let them to being medium without any form of marketing, People they worked and work with can trust and rely on them that's big in business.
I have also worked with Big business which rely heavily on the network they have created over the years. This is very important. They are often in a space where they don't acquire or strive to acquire new customers/clients. Their network is strong they don't seek for information at all, it comes to them. Information is a commodity here. Risk and investment is the name of the game. So many huge funded new businesses.
So Growth in business is not a one way street of trying to get more customers and having a lot of customers doest by default make you big. Look at your management or your revenue. Be intentional about your next move
